We are introducing a self sign-in option to our members which will allow them to sign themselves in for classes using their smart phones. The benefit of doing this will be that you will have reserved your spot in class. It is unlikely that our classes hit capacity very often but in the case that they do, those who have signed in will know that they won’t be turned away at the door due to a lack of mat space. We don’t want to create fear that it is going to become difficult to get into classes. If our classes are overflowing on any kind of regular basis, you can rest assured that we will be moving to a new location soon after! But, in the meantime, we want to provide some insurance that you won’t show up just to be told there is no space! Self sign-in is not a requirement. It is currently only intended as a bonus feature for members who wish to use it.
To be able to use the self-sign in, you are going to have to do a little setting up so following is the information needed on how to get things started for yourself. The whole process should take no more than 5 minutes.
You need to download an app called “MindBody Connect”. Be careful not to download “MindBody Express” as that is for businesses that use MindBody software. The proper app says “MINDBODY – Book Fitness &….” So that is what you should see when you search for “MindBody Connect” in your app store. Download and install the app.
You will need to register. Make sure to register using your email and use the same email you provided us when you joined. We have you entered as a customer on our side of the app and to sync your consumer account with what we have here will require that you use the same name and email that you gave us when we entered you.
Once you have registered, you will need to verify your email. Go to the three horizontal lines beside the word “Home” in the top left corner of the app and tap to open a drop down menu. Go to “Settings”. When you open the Settings, you will see “Email Verification” at the top. Tap that and MindBody will send you an email to verify that you are who you say you are. Go to your email and open the one that MindBody sent you and hit the link inside to verify your email. This will automatically open up a page telling you that your email is verified. Do not close this page as there is one more step!
The final step will be to sync your consumer account to the one we have made for you on our system. To do this, scroll down on the page that is open and you will see a text box that says “Search for a business”. Type the numbers “251918” into the box and hit search and our business name should pop right up. It will ask you to enter your password for your MindBody account and once done, the accounts should be synced!
If everything went smoothly, you are now able to sign-into classes from anywhere using your smart phone provided you have paid services on account with us. When you search a class, you will see an option to book. Simply tap that option and a button will appear allowing you to book yourself in. If you accidentally book yourself into a class, you can easily go back to that class option and cancel the booking. Also note that you can now see your payment status with us and can check anytime to see when your membership will require renewal or to check how many punches you have left on account.
We have beta tested this with a few members and are ready to roll it out to the rest of you. We know that there will be some hiccups so if it doesn’t work perfectly for you, just bring it to our attention and we will troubleshoot with you and get it working. Don’t let it stress you out at all. Just bring your phone in and we will walk you through the whole thing. It shouldn’t take more than a couple minutes once you have the app downloaded!
